It wasn’t the wedding day they had envisioned, but this couple didn’t want to wait to declare their love for each other. Lizzie Kerr and Simon O’Brien were planning to get married in June until COVID-19 stopped them in their tracks and sent them both to the hospital in the UK. Simon’s condition worsened and he was sent to the ICU. That was distressing enough, but it got worse when a nurse informed Lizzie of the odds that Simon was up against.
