'American Idol' Contestant Doug Kiker Dead at 32

A contestant who brought the American Idol judges to their feet has died. Doug Kiker was known as "The Singing Garbage Man" during his time on season 18 of American Idol. The singer and guitarist used his own life story as the basis for a short film about a garbage man who could sing. Kiker's family confirmed his death on social media. The family has not disclosed a cause of death. He leaves behind two children.
