Every Painting in This Art Show Was Made in a New York Prison
All of the art on display at a recent exhibit in Ossining, New York, had one special thing in common: It was painted by people behind bars. The exhibit showcased work fostered by a program called Rehabilitation Through the Arts, or RTA. Katherine Vockins, who founded RTA, told InsideEdition.com the artists “are wonderful, really decent people trying to change their lives, trying to do something different. And their artwork can reflect their transformation and their desire to change.”
