Frontline Nurse Denied Entry Into Her Own Dad’s Hospital Room Before His Death

Daytona Beach, Florida ICU nurse Lindsey Fairchild has comforted countless COVID-19 patients, and often finds herself holding their hands by their bedside. So when she got the tragic news that her own 69-year-old father didn’t have long to live as he battled coronavirus, she flew to Ohio to say goodbye. She brought all of her PPE with her to the hospital, but to her shock, she was denied entry to her father’s room, even though she’s been working with COVID-19 patients for months.
