Man Allegedly Held Captive by Stepmom Starts Fire to Escape: Cops

Police in Connecticut say a house fire revealed a man being held against his will by his stepmother for decades. Police in Waterbury say on February 17, the victim, who is a 32-year-old man, set fire to the room he was allegedly being held in. Police say a door to the room was locked from the outside. When they entered the room, they say they found the victim, who said he had been held in the room since he was around 11 years old. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
