Man Caught Shaving on New Jersey Train Explains Behavior

The man who was filmed shaving on the New Jersey Transit train says he is homeless. Anthony Torres, 55, was called “a pig,” “a slob” and “rude,” among other names, as video of him shaving went viral. He was on the train and headed to Atlantic City en route to visit his brother. Torres said he had spent three nights at a homeless shelter and was on his way to his brother's house in New Jersey when he started shaving on the commuter train. He says he wanted to arrive clean shaven to make a good impression.
