    Motion Sensors Won’t Let Guests Waste Energy at This Carbon Zero Hotel

    The Chiswick Hometel, located in a neighborhood in west London, says their accommodations are “89% more efficient than your average hotel.” The showers use 40% less water than a traditional showerhead, and the heating, cooling and hot water are all generated by the ground source heat pumps. Motion sensors stop heating and electricity from flowing to rooms while guests are not present. But will environmentally friendly lead to more paying guests? This hotel certainly hopes so.
