In the book, titled "What Is a Girl Worth?: My Story of Breaking the Silence and Exposing the Truth about Larry Nassar and USA Gymnastics," Denhollander speaks candidly about how Nassar hid his abuse of her from her own mother, who was in the room with Denhollander while the doctor examined her.
