Neil Armstrong Biopic ‘First Man’ Sparks Outcry for Omitting American Flag

A new movie about astronaut Neil Armstrong is sparking controversy. “First Man,” starring Ryan Gosling, recreates that historic step Armstrong took to become the first person to set foot on the moon in 1969, but it does not depict the other iconic moment when Armstrong and fellow astronaut, Buzz Aldrin, planted the American flag on the moon. The flag raising was meticulously planned by NASA because there is no wind on the moon.
