‘Torso Killer’ Linked to Cold Case More Than 50 Years Later: Cop

DNA evidence has now linked serial killer Richard Cottingham to the murder of Diane Cusick. The 23-year-old dance teacher was found murdered in the back seat of her car at a Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream, New York in 1968. The case went cold until DNA evidence pointed to the notorious serial killer and rapist, whose nickname includes the Time Square Killer and the Torso Killer. At his zoom arraignment, he pleaded not guilty.
