Why Were Alec Baldwin’s ‘Rust’ Shooting Charges Dismissed?

Alec Baldwin reports to the new "Rust" film set in Montana, one day after prosecutors dropped criminal charges against him in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. It's a far cry from New Mexico, where production came to an abrupt halt in 2021 following the tragic shooting. Prosecutors in the case say "new facts were revealed that demand further investigation and forensic analysis in the case."
