New Jersey Woman Survives Train Derailment That Killed 8, Injured Hundreds
Geralyn Ritter from New Jersey survived one of the worst train crashes to date. She was on Amtrak 188 when the train, going 106 mph, derailed circling a curve designed for 50 mph. Eight people died, and hundreds were injured. After the accident, Geralyn's husband, Jonathan, learned of a Jane Doe at a Philadelphia hospital. Her injuries were so bad that he didn't recognize her. "Life can change in a second," she said to Inside Edition Digital's Andrea Swindall
