Pete Frates,The Man Who Raised Millions Through ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Dies
Pete Frates, one of the inspirations and social media spreaders of the viral ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, has died at age 34. A former Boston College baseball player, he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in 2012 at age 27. He spent the rest of his life fighting to raise awareness about the devastating neurodegenerative disease, and was recognized with several accolades.
