This R&B Legend Wrote the Song Behind Beyonce's 'Before I Let Go' Challenge

Beyonce's iconic "Homecoming" dropped on Netflix, and thanks to a surprise song at the end, the "Before I Let Go" Challenge was born. Bey sampled the 1981 hit of the same name from R&B band Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly. Beverly, the band's founder and lead singer, says it makes him emotional that the remake has gotten such a massive response. "I never expected to do all this. The song has been out there for so long, I just thought all of that has been done and people have given me all they can do for all these years," Beverly told InsideEdition.com's Stephanie Officer.
