Ship Lodged Sideways in Suez Canal Could Be Stuck Blocking Trade for Weeks

One ship has practically brought trading to its knees. An enormous cargo ship, as long as the Empire State Building is tall, blocks any other ships from passing through the Suez Canal in Egypt. Trade was already slowed down by the pandemic but the situation was made worse when the cargo ship named Ever Given ran aground. Efforts to dislodge the ship have yet to work and the company tasked with freeing Ever Given says it could take weeks. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
