Steve Irwin’s Family Is Working to Save Injured Animals in Australia Wildfires
Terri Irwin, the widow of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, is working with her son around the clock to save animals injured and displaced by the Australia wildfires. The fires started in September 2019, months earlier than is typical for the country’s annual wildfire season. Millions of acres have burned across the country. Ecologists estimate thousands of koalas have died along with half a billion other animals.
