14-Year-Old Catches Fire While Trying to Remove Nail Polish
Nail polish remover and a burning candle too close together is a dangerous combination. Kennedy suffered third-degree burns after catching fire while doing her nails. “I had a candle on my bed lit there and when I went to go sit down with my nail polish remover, it caught it and kind of just exploded,” Kennedy, 14, says. She has undergone weeks of treatment. “I learned mostly to be more aware of the things around me to just take a little bit more precaution,” she says.
