3-Month-Old Puppy Given to Mexico as a Gift From Turkey
Arkadas is a 3-month-old German Shepherd, who was presented as a gift from Turkey to the country of Mexico. His name means “friend” in Turkish. When Mexican search and rescue teams flew to Turkey to assist after the massive earthquake on the Syrian border, they brought their famed canine unit. Sadly, they returned home without K9 Proteo, who died during a mission. Arkadas will be trained by Proteo’s former handler, Corporal Juan Carlos Villeda.
