“Welcome to the first edition of Inside Edition.” These were the words said by then-host David Frost on Jan. 9, 1989, when Inside Edition made its TV debut. In the premiere episode, Frost kicked off with a story about how a mother, Diane Downs, killed her daughter and tried to killed her other two children because she said her boyfriend hated them. Since then, Inside Edition has evolved into a household name, profiling heartwarming tales, bringing a fresh look at true crime stories and offering in-depth investigations.
