    4-Ton Iceberg Melts on Street Outside UN’s COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow

    A 4-ton chunk of iceberg from Greenland was hauled to the streets of Glasgow, Scotland, by an organization called Arctic Basecamp. Glasgow is currently hosting the United Nations’ COP26 climate summit. A representative from Arctic Basecamp told reporters, “We are trying to remind delegates that the Arctic is in crisis.” A recent report in Nature Communications said that 3.5 trillion tons of Greenland's ice sheet melted in the past decade.
