California Man Pulls 5-Foot-Long Tapeworm Out of His Gut
January 22, 2018
Emergency room physician Dr. Kenny Banh told InsideEdition.com about a recent patient who pulled a 5-foot-long tapeworm out of his gut. Dr. Banh treated the patient with a simple de-worming medication, and sent him home. The patient was fine, but both he and Dr. Banh have one doozy of a story to tell. It's impossible to say where the tapeworm came from, though Dr. Banh said the patient told him he ate a lot of sushi, which lines up with recent CDC warnings about intestinal parasites in fish.
