California Mom Warns Not to Eat Poppy Seeds Before Giving Birth

Susan Horton says she was given a routine drug test shortly before giving birth. To her utter shock, the test came back positive for opiates. She was told her baby had to remain in the hospital for drug testing and then possibly placed into foster care. Then she remembered she had eaten an organic salad from Costco that contained "creamy everything ranch dressing." The dressing had poppy seeds enough to cause her to fail a drug test.
