Captain America Cosplayer Proposes to Girlfriend at 'Avengers: Endgame' Premiere

It's a scene many Marvel fans wouldn't see on the big screen: Captain America proposing to Peggy Carter. In real life, these superheroes are Shawn Richter of San Diego, California, and Lisa Lower of Portland, Oregon. They are both huge Marvel fans whose relationship started when they met at a comic convention in San Jose in 2017. After a year and a half of dating long-distance, Shawn says he was ready to ask Lisa for her hand in marriage.
