Chadwick Boseman Honored by ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ Co-Star Viola Davis

Fans of Chadwick Boseman now get to see his final on-screen performance. Netflix has released “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” which also stars Viola Davis and was produced by Denzel Washington. In the screen adaptation of August Wilson’s stage play, Boseman plays trumpet player, Levee, making music the legendary “Mother of the Blues.” This is one of the films the late actor filmed while privately undergoing treatment for colon cancer.
