Pilots Beg People Not to Point Lasers in Sky Amid Drones Controversy
December 18, 2024
Airplane pilots are begging people not to point lasers in the sky. There is an alarming increase in civilians on the ground pointing lasers at what they think are drones trying to force them to land. Shining a laser at a plane is a felony which is punishable by a $250,000 fine and up to five years in prison. Pilot Ken Dietz says he was disorientated by a laser as he was attempting to land his Cessna at a small rural airport in New Jersey.
