Chihuahua Recovers After Being Shot by Arkansas Police Officer
January 8, 2019
An Arkansas sheriff's deputy has been fired after shooting a Chihuahua in the head point-blank. Deputy Keenan Wallace’s partner claimed he shot the Chihuahua, named Reese's, in self-defense. “We have a right to protect ourselves,” Wallace told the dog's owner, Doug Canady. “That dog has never attacked anyone,” Canady replied. It happened in a yard outside Little Rock. Deputies were called by a neighbor who claimed the dog was being aggressive. Canady disputed that claim to Inside Edition.
