Dallas Salon Owner Who Reopened in Defiance of Lockdown is Jailed

Inside Edition recently profiled Shelley Luther, the Dallas, Texas salon owner who reopened her hairdressing business in defiance of state shutdown orders. Luther said she was willing to take the risk of going to jail because she had no other way to feed her family. Now she’s been arrested and was sentenced to seven days in jail and given a $7,000 fine. Polls show that most Americans are not in favor of reopening businesses like restaurants, gyms and movie theaters.
