Defendant Who Attacked Judge In Court Claims Mental Illness

Deobra Redden, the defendant who attacked a judge in her courtroom, pleaded guilty but mentally ill to attempted murder. The change in plea came in the middle of his trial. Redden can be seen on camera leaping over the bench at Nevada’s Clark County District Judge Mary Kay Holthus. It happened as she was sentencing him for attempted battery, which he pleaded guilty to. Holthus was hurt as well as a courtroom marshal trying to protect her. Inside Edition Digital has more.
