How Safe Are Injection Spa Treatments?
Medical spas are booming with their anti-aging, fat-busting treatments and IV vitamin drips that claim to boost energy and cure hangovers. Fitness influencer Beatriz Amma says she paid a California medical spa $800 for vitamin and fat-busting injections on her body. That’s when, she says, dozens of skin lesions erupted across her body. She was later diagnosed with Mycobacteroides abscessus. Amma is now suing the spa. They deny all her allegations.
