Illinois Nurse Adopts Baby In Hospital With Heart Condition
July 12, 2019
Angela Farnan, 53, is a pediatric ICU nurse at Children’s Hospital of Illinois in Peoria. In her 32 years on the job, she's cared for thousands of infants. So when a baby named Blaze, who’d been born with a rare heart condition, came to the hospital, Angela was there to care for him. She soon felt a bond starting to form. After Blaze's second surgery, his biological parents wondered if they were equipped to care for him. They asked Farnan and her husband if they would considering adopting Blaze.
