Jayme Closs’ Alleged Kidnapper Smirks During Court Appearance

Accused kidnapper Jake Patterson smirked as he entered a Wisconsin courtroom. Patterson, 21, made a brief appearance in which he waived his right to a preliminary hearing. He faces charges for allegedly abducting Jayme Closs, 13, from her home last October after killing her parents, Denise and James Closs. Authorities said Patterson shot and killed her parents before forcing her into his car. He is accused of plotting her abduction after seeing her at a school bus stop.
