Jury Selection Underway for Daniel Penny Chokehold Manslaughter Trial

Jury selection is underway in the highly-charged Daniel Perry manslaughter trial. Finding 12 jurors and six alternates in New York City who have not experienced any negative issues in the subway system may be a pretty difficult task. In May of 2023, Penny was on the subway when he fatally choked Jordan Neely. Paramedics could not revive Neely, who was a Michael Jackson impersonator. Penny was charged with his death.
