Shark Bites Lifeguard in New York

New York is many things, but usually not a place for shark sightings. It was a rare sight on Sunday when visitors to Long Island’s Smith Point Beach spotted the great beast in the waters. It forced officials including Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone to close the beach to swimmers as a precaution for the rest of the day. "It makes me a little nervous when they're all the way in the water," beachgoer Julian Alfonso told WCBS.  Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer has the details.
