Man Fears He Could Have Died After Being a Target of Swatting Hoax

A swatting prank ended in the death of an innocent Kansas man. Father-of-two Andrew Finch was gunned down by a police officer in Wichita on Thursday. Officers responded to an anonymous call describing a "hostage situation" at Finch's address, according to the Wichita Police Department. A so-called gunman told the police department that he was holding his mother and brother hostage at gunpoint and had already shot his dad in the head inside Finch’s home. Authorities say it was all a lie.
