Melania Trump ‘Disappointed’ Over Capitol Assault and ‘Gossip’

First Lady Melania Trump released a statement calling for “healing, grace, understanding, and peace” in the wake of the assault on the U.S. Capitol. In an over 600-word statement, the First Lady says she is praying for the families of those who died during the pro-Trump riot, naming the four alleged rioters before the Capitol Police officers. She says she is “disappointed and disheartened by what happened last week,” and calls out what she calls “salacious gossip” about her.
