Therapy Dog Comforts Jail Inmates With Mental Illness in California

This is Mellow. He was trained to catch criminals by sniffing out drugs, but his handler says he wasn't very good at it. "He was better suited to be a therapy dog because he was so friendly and wasn't able to focus on detection," says Ventura County Deputy Sheriff Sung Lee. He says Mellow is enjoying his new assignment, being a therapy dog for inmates at the local jail. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
