Forty-three-year-old Anthony Dwayne McRae was identified as the Michigan State University gunman that left three students dead and five severely wounded. The drama began at 8:35 p.m. at Berkey Hall, where students were attending evening classes. Emergency social media blasts told thousands of students to run, hide, fight. Graduate student Graham Diedrich and others barricaded themselves inside the library. The search for McRae went on for three hours. When the police cornered him, he shot himself.
