Mysterious Manure Smell Seeps into Iowa City
Something stinks in Des Moines, Iowa. Residents say it smells like manure. City officials say the stench is caused when farmers spread manure onto the fields to harvest their crops. When the wind picks up, the smell swarms the metro area. The city has established a hotline to answer complaints. but unfortunately, city officials say there's not much that can be done to eliminate the odor.
