NYPD Officer Adopts Dog She Helped Rescue From Hot Car

Concerned citizens in New York City called 911 after seeing a dog had been left in a car with the windows closed one day when the temperatures were hovering over 80 degrees. The NYPD says it’s prohibited to leave animals in cars in such conditions because it can be deadly. Several officers responded to the scene and broke the window to free the dog, who was happy to see them all. One officer took a special liking to the adorable dog.
