Katy Perry floated onto the VMA stage after performing a medley of her biggest hits. She was presented with the Video Vanguard Award by her partner, Orlando Bloom. It's also the 40th anniversary of the VMAs, and the show celebrated iconic moments from over the years. Sabrina Carpenter paid tribute to the VMA's iconic moonmen, and ended with an homage to Marilyn Monroe's "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend."
