Trump Faces Backlash Over False Pet-Eating Claims
During the debate against Kamala Harris, Donald Trump falsely claimed Haitian migrants in a small town in Ohio are eating people's beloved pets. The phony story has been spreading on social media for several weeks. The conspiracy theory was further fueled by a conservative website that unearthed a call made to police in Springfield, Ohio, about 170 miles from Canton. However, the mayor of Springfield says there is no truth to the stories of abducted pets.
