    See the Alley Where Barack Obama Slept When He First Came to New York

    It’s been 10 years since Barack Obama was elected as the 44th president of the United States. In his best seller, “Dreams From My Father,” Obama wrote that when he arrived in New York City to study at Columbia University he could not get access to the apartment he was renting. With his luggage, he found an alley on 109th street and spent the night in August 1981. In 2008, Inside Edition visited the alley to recount the story.
