Stephen Colbert Apologizes for Princess Kate Jokes

Stephen Colbert is apologizing for jokes he made about Princess Kate before she revealed her cancer diagnosis. “There’s a standard that I try to hold myself to, and that is I do not make light of somebody else’s tragedy,” he says. “Far too many of us know that any cancer diagnosis of any kind is harrowing for the patient and for their family.” He sent her well-wishes and hopes her recovery will be swift.
