    Students Send Heartbreaking Text Messages to Their Families During Shooting

    As gunfire rang through the halls of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, some parents got heartbreaking texts from their children who were possibly saying their final goodbyes. One girl was in drama class when gunfire started. She took shelter in a storage closet with 40 other students and texted her mom, "If I don't make it, I love you and I appreciate everything you did for me." Other frantic parents took to social media looking for their children.
