Substitute Teacher Saves Choking Child With Heimlich Maneuver

A substitute teacher came to the rescue at just the right time. School security video shows a youngster who was eating lunch in a cafeteria walk over to a teacher monitoring the grade schoolers. The teacher, Sadie Carwyle, said she instantly knew what was going on. She gave Ryan Buckner the Heimlich maneuver and dislodged a piece of food from his throat. “Finally when the food projected, I turned him around and the color came back in his face, and I knew he was OK,” she told Inside Edition.
