Team USA Skier Wins Medal 50 Years After His Mother Won Gold
American Olympic skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle is sharing a special moment with his mom after taking home a silver medal in the Super G competition at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. Barbara Ann Cochran knows exactly how it feels to stand on that Olympic podium, because in 1972, she won the gold medal in the women’s slalom. Barbara told Inside Edition that she woke up others in the house with her screams of excitement while watching her son in the middle of the night from the other side of the world.
