Teen Starts to Wake From 11-Month Coma Unaware of Coronavirus Pandemic

Joseph Flavill, 19, has been in a coma for the past 11 months, unaware of the coronavirus and the impact it has had on the world. Joseph is recovering at a rehabilitation facility after being hit by a car on March 1, three weeks before England implemented a national lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus. During that time, Flavill contracted and beat COVID-19 twice. Now his family says Joseph has been showing signs of progress. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
