    Tiny Birds Rescued From Southern California Oil Spill

    The southern California oil spill is concerning for many reasons, including what effect it will have on the environment. Rescuers from the Oiled Wildlife Care Network in Los Angeles are treating more than a dozen small birds, cleaning oil from their wings. "We average about a 50 to 75% release rate for live animals that come in, actually releasing them back into their habitats," said Michael Ziccardi, director of the network.
