Toxic Foam Forms on Sacred Yamuna River in India
A sacred river is in need of a cleansing. Toxic foam formed on the surface of the Yamuna River in India, a site that has religious significance for Hindus. Reports say it’s been neglected for decades, which has turned it into a public outlet for urban and industrial waste. Water from glaciers in the Himalayas flows into the river through New Delhi and Agra. Reports say the main source of the foam is untreated sewage. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
