Wayfarers Chapel Closed Due to California Landslides

A national landmark church has closed in Southern California’s fight with landslides. The Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes has held services since 1951. Its stone and glass structure sits among redwood trees with cliffside views of the Pacific Ocean. More than 100 weddings and special events had to be canceled due to what the Chapel called “accelerated land movement” in the area. There is no word on when the Wayfarers Chapel might reopen.
